Well Friday was a good day to be following The Punters Prerogative - I managed to pick 4 winners from 6 selections and if you backed them in a Heinz (multiple bet) for a £1 stake you would have scooped close to £900 profit! Can you afford not to follow them today?
I rightly predicted that Ritual would win the first at Sandown and Class is Class followed in the 4th race - i then correctly predicted that both tennis matches would finish 3 sets to 1 - setting up a Nadal / Djokovic final! Returning £930.80 for a £57 bet!
As promised today see's the 2nd day of Sandown with the showpiece race being at 3.10 'The Coral Eclipse' - and two very short priced horses controlling the betting markets. Our tip from Royal Ascot that was pipped on the line by Frankie Dettori's mount Rewilding features and is an even money shot to land the race. So You Think (evens - leave the price as likely to drift out) looked as if he went off too early to get home at Ascot and his old owner Bart Cummings stated he had more to give - i think he will come on for that run and clinch todays £226,000 prize fund. Even money is skinny but trainer Aiden O'brien has been in good form recently and saddled the 1st, 2nd & 3rd in last weeks Irish Derby- he thinks a lot of this horse and describes him as one the best he has had.
I think the first race (2.00) on the card will be run by the ever impressive Margot Did (widely about at 7/1) - Hayley Turner has been in the saddle for this Michael Bell trained winner and is set to continue its run of 2 wins and complete its hat-trick.
The 2.35 is a very competitive race and I am predicting a blanket finish with many in with a chance in the closing stages - I'm not sure the winning distance will be much more than a head! And I will be following another horse that was tipped at Ascot by The Punters Prerogative in Start Right. He was highly fancied to win at Royal Ascot only to finish 6th of 28 in The Royal Hunt Cup - he is facing a smaller field today and I think Kieron Fallon will be able to guide the Luca Cumani trained challenge home. The breeding of this tip is encouraging too with bloodlines back to Sadlers Wells & Footprintsinthesand and the 5/1 seems a fair price.
Finally the 3.40 should be won by the Stoute / Ryan Moore combo Shipsbiscuit - he can be found at 7/2. Last time he finished 4th of 6 to Drunken Sailor and the form of the race looks quite solid - he also has a 2nd to Harris Tweed which all indicates he is set to continue improving on that.
Best of luck to you all - remember this weeks earlier tips - Haye on points in the fight tonight - and we have sided with Nadal to retain his title tomorrow against Djokovic. I may have a little wager on the underdog in the Ladies Singles Final today - Sharapova does have a habit of choking or falling at the final hurdle. Her opponent was knocked out in the semi's and could be set to go one better - Petra Kvitova to win 2-1 or 2-0 is an interesting 4/1 & 11/4.
