6 days and counting to the off.......

Today we will be looking at two other races for the first day at Cheltenham and there is another skinny one in the frame as 'Hurricane Fly' is another odds on shot favourite for the Champion Hurdle and it is difficult to see anything beating him.  The bookies will be crying or laughing all the way to the bank depending on the results of 'Hurricane Fly' & yesterdays selection 'Sprinter Sacre'.  Most bookies are offering special double prices but I have spotted some value with Paddy Power who are 10/11 for each selection but these prices will not be around on the day.  The benefit of betting with Paddy Power is that they offer best odd's guaranteed - so if the price of the horses drift you will get the best odd's.
I can't remember an opening day of a festival when two odd's shots came in - but almost every pundit and tipster have had these two picks pencilled in for weeks.  I am sure the bookies will be praying these two get beat but I think its about time the punters had some opening day luck.

Advised:
Hurricane Fly - 10/11
Double with Sprinter Sacre both at 10/11 - £10 pays £36.45

The final race I have a selection for on the Tuesday of Cheltenham is in the Cross Country Chase and I think there will be no surprises when I say 'Sizing Australia' has a real chance in this.  Everyone I know that loves racing, knows how unpredictable the Cross Country Course is at Cheltenham - we only need to look back to the Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase on the 9th December when the majority of the field took the wrong course.  Most shrewd punters will not touch this race with a barge pole but I really like how 'Sizing Australia' has shaped from his last few runs and can see him rediscovering the form that saw him win at Cheltenham last year.  Plus I like to think I will be flush after the first couple of races!!
Taking the wrong course cost 'Scotsirish' his chance of victory back in December and that see him installed as the bookies 5/2 favourite.  'Sizing Australia' is currently best price 5/1 (widely available) and I think this is good value - don't get me wrong there are plenty of other horses worth mentioning and due respect - Enda Bolger's 'Garde Champetre' has finished in the first two at Cheltenham on no fewer than 10 occasions!!  'Chamirey' won the fiasco of a race back in December and must be credited - And anything that Willie Mullins sends to Cheltenham has half a chance....he could line up with three for this renewal.  However, I have faith in Henry de Bromhead who seems to have his stable firing for Cheltenham every year and his two notable runners of the meet must surely go very close (Sizing Europe & Australia).
