Will Liverpool be relegated? – Will Rooney really leave?
After last weeks poor show in the Merseyside Derby and another lacklustre performance away to Napoli – I have to say they aren’t. This sentiment was echoed by ‘GOD’, Robbie Fowler, after the Everton game – stating that the Leeds side that were relegated are better than the current Liverpool side. We have seen some decent activity in the ‘Next Liverpool Manager Market’ this week – following Frank Rijkard’s departure from Galatassary – he was cut to odds on favourite (2/5) to take the helm from Roy Hodgson. I think this is a bad shout – why would we want him? He has no understanding of the English game – if NESV are going to change the manager I believe they need to act now – and Martin O’Neil is the best man – and at 9/1 is easy to back.
Liverpool host Blackburn Rovers on Sunday and at 4/6 are not easy to back – Big Sam always puts out a feisty strong side and I am expecting a draw from this match – which can be backed at 13/5 with Paddy Power.
As for Wayne Rooney – the ginger haired, toad faced Oga can leave Man Utd for all I care. His on pitch performances since March and conduct of his private life in the last few weeks lead me to ponder why Capello picks him for England ? I think the best move for him, is pack his bags and head off to Sunny Spain - where the locals will refer to him as ‘Coño de Ginger’ or ‘Shrek Rojo’!
Last weeks punts did not provide a profit – much to my dismay. As stated Liverpool let the football accumulator down – Gitano Hernando came just out of the places in 4th in the 3.00 at Newmarket – London Irish & Clermont let the Rugby Acca down as well. This weekend we have the Korean Grand Prix, Aviva Premiership, full domestic football action plus the Rugby League gets under way.

I am sticking with Kieran Fallon this week and his ride in the 14.55 Group 1 at Doncaster on Saturday – he is partnering an unbeaten Brian Meehan 2 year old called ‘TITUS MILLS’. Widely available at 8/1 with Ladbrokes and even bigger on Betfair – he is a sound each way chance.
I am sticking with Mark Webber for the F1 this weekend – he has been driving well all season and his qualifying was superb on Thursday – and is easy to back to stretch his lead – 7/2.
What about Rugby Union?
